About Our Center:

The Ragya Mahayana Buddhist Cultural Center (RMBCC) is the U.S.-based branch of Ragya Monastery, one of the most respected Gelug monasteries in the Amdo region of Tibet. It was founded by His Eminence the 11th Shingza Rinpoche, who upholds a revered lineage recognized in the Tibetan Buddhism tradition as the successive incarnations of the mother of Je Tsongkhapa — the great Tibetan scholar and founder of the Gelug tradition. Throughout history, successive Shingza Rinpoches have served as the abbots of Ragya Monastery, preserving and advancing its profound spiritual and scholarly legacy.
